In a world full of copy-and-paste success stories, it's easy to believe that hard work alone is enough to make you stand out. But the truth is, doing your best doesn't always mean you're meeting the standard and meeting the standard doesn't mean you're the best.
Many people are comfortable with working harder or improving their skills, but the real challenge lies in being different. Being different means stepping outside of what’s normal, expected, or accepted. That’s uncomfortable.
You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t need to rush. But if your goal is to be the best, then just meeting the standard is not enough. You have to push past it. You have to study what the best are doing, learn from them, and then take it a step further in your own way.
What makes you different might just be what makes you great. Be different. Be great.
In this episode, I reflect on a powerful experience I had at the Momentum Conference with Dr. Eric Thomas. I will share the key takeaways from his speech, focusing on the importance of setting a high standard for yourself, being relentless in pursuing your goals, and the mindset shift required to achieve success. Tune in to hear how you can apply these lessons to elevate your game!
"In order to become the best, you're going to have to do more, be better, and be different."– Dr. Derrick Burgess
